Installation instructions for Zleen Tires and Zleen Tubes

Tires from Zleen Tires

What will you need to exchange?
• New casing
• A pump (foot or hand, possibly even a compressor) with a head for your type of AV/FV/DV valve
• 2 pcs mounting levers - choose plastic to avoid damage to the rim, casing or tube
• Inner tube or tubeless set in case of Born Tubeless tire
We recommend using high-quality bicycle tools to replace the tire. It will last longer, make your work easier and reduce the risk of damage to the tire or rim.

Method:

1. Removing the front/rear wheel from the frame/fork
In the case of rim brakes - release them by unhooking them from the stop to allow the wheel to slide out smoothly. With disc brakes, the wheel falls out freely, just make sure that the brake pads are not squeezed, the wheel would be difficult to put on.

2. Dismantling the original shell
If using a tubeless system, follow the instructions above - “Born Tubeless” installation. If using an inner tube, first bleed the air from the wheel with the valve. Prepare the tire around the entire circumference so that the feet are off the rim. Drive one pry bar carefully under the rim and remove the bead of the tire without the tube outside the rim, secure the pry bar to the wires. Do the same with the second mounting lever 10 cm next to it. Then you should be able to easily remove the jacket on one side around the entire perimeter. Push the valve in and remove the tube, then remove the casing.

3. Installation of a new casing
Observe the direction of rotation of the wheel and fit the tire in the correct direction of rotation, marked with an arrow on the tire (if not marked, the tire can be used in both directions). Start by putting one side of the tire into the rim, for aesthetic reasons also look at the tire mark near the valve. Insert a slightly inflated inner tube into the jacket, push the valve into the hole as deep as possible, then fit the other side of the jacket as well. In many cases, especially for tires with aramid (folding) rope, you can do without the use of mounting levers, thus eliminating the pinching/clicking of the inner tube. If the jacket cannot be put on by hand, use mounting levers, but watch out for the inner tube snapping - it must not stay under the mounting lever.
Once the tire is seated, pressurize the inner tube slightly, seat the tire evenly around the entire circumference and check that the inner tube has not remained under the tire bead. Then pressurize the tire to the optimal pressure, check the entire circumference to see if the tire is well seated in the bead of the rim and if it does not bounce when you spin it. You can even out the unevenness by applying strong pressure at the point of throwing against the "bump" or by using soapy water.

Then all you have to do is put the bike in the frame/fork, check everything once more and hit the road!

Soul of Zleen Tubes

What will you need to exchange?
• A new soul with the correct size and type of valve
• A pump (foot or hand, possibly even a compressor) with a head for your type of AV/FV/DV valve
• 2 pcs Montpáky - choose plastic to avoid damage to the rim, casing or tube
• Removing the front/rear wheel from the frame/fork
In the case of rim brakes - release them by unhooking them from the stop to allow the wheel to slide out smoothly. With disc brakes, the wheel will fall out freely, just make sure not to squeeze the brake pads, it would be difficult for you to mount the wheel.

We recommend using high-quality cyclo tools to replace the tube. It will last longer, make your work easier and reduce the risk of damage to the tire, tube or rim.

Method:

1. Dismantling the original soul
First let the air out of the wheel with the valve, if the tube is not punctured. Prepare the tire around the entire circumference so that the feet are off the rim. Drive one pry bar carefully under the rim and remove the bead of the tire without the tube outside the rim, secure the pry bar with the tip. Do the same with the second mounting lever 10 cm next to it. Then you should be able to easily remove the jacket on one side around the entire perimeter. Push the valve in and remove the tube, leaving the tire on one side of the rim. In the event of a defect, visually inspect the casing from the outside, run your fingers from the inside, which will usually reveal small thorns. Also check the rim tape to make sure it is in the right position and not damaged. If you find the slightest crack or hole, put a new one.

2. Assembly of a new soul
Insert a slightly inflated inner tube into the casing, insert the valve into the hole as deeply as possible. Then put on the other side of the jacket, starting against the valve and ending at it.
Once the tire is seated, pressurize the inner tube slightly, seat the tire evenly around the entire perimeter and check whether the inner tube has remained under the heel of the tire. Then pressurize the tire to the optimal pressure, check the entire perimeter to see if the tire is well seated in the bead of the rim and if it does not bounce when you spin it. You can even out the unevenness by applying strong pressure at the point of throwing against the "bump" or by using soapy water.

Then all you have to do is put the bike in the frame/fork, check everything once more and hit the road!
